My family and I found ourselves needing to urgently book 2 rooms due to a really bad experience at another hotel across the road. I was ready to write Hanoi off as the worst place I'd stayed until we booked in here, TOP service, anazing food at breakfast with plenty of choice and the rooms were gorgeous, super clean and very comfy beds and pillows. They even let us book in one if our rooms a few hours early as my niece was ill and just needed bed rest. Restored my faith in Hanoi and I was sad to leave this wonderful hotel. Thank you for everything. I hope to be back again.

I've been a returning customer at LaSelva on Lo Su for 8 years! Never have had a reservation issue on check in or check out! The staff, and manager Jackie have always gone way above what is to be expected!! Always willing to be of help even took time to drive me to money exchanges a few times! The hotel has always been clean. I have stayed in different type rooms and have had no significant issues. Any issue was promptly taken care of. Breakfast has several items you can chose from and as much as you want to eat! Coffee was good and service always was prompt and with a smile! Housekeeping was done daily. Mr. Quyen, the owner and his kind wife have always treated me like family! Visiting Ms. Quyen's home last 2 years during Tet in the countryside for a lovely day visit! Jackie has been a real friend also! He has done more for me that any hotel manager! Lots of story to tell about this! The hotel has aged to some degree but always has a well appointed presence! I will continue to return and I certainly do recommend this hotel just minutes to Hoan Kim Lake in the Old Quarter.

My stay at Hanoi La Selva hotel was fantastic, highlighted by the hospitality of the staff who are always looking for any way they can to help. The rooms are compact, but are a great value with a location right in the heart of Hanoi. Tons of street food and culture right outside your doors here. Try the La Selva Breakfast sandwich for your breakfast order!

My impression of Hotel La Selva during my 7 night stay is that it's clean, comfortable and located only a short walk from Hoa Kiem Lake (northern end) and the Old Quarter. The hotel has strengths and weaknesses, starting with the former. The manager, Jackie Le, is welcoming, enthusiastic, responsive and above all, a good communicator. His staff were always friendly and helpful, and front-desk service was excellent. The kitchen manager, Num, was attentive, efficient and always charming. My room was spacious, adequately appointed and always well-maintained. On the downside, the hotel decor and appearance are dated and would benefit from a refresh. This applies not only to the guest rooms, but also the dining area and foyer. The combined shower/toilet area is poorly designed and rather awkward to use. Those who like hot showers will be sorely disappointed, as the water was lukewarm at best. There are few restaurants in the close vicinity, and you have to search far afield for a mini mart. Breakfast options at the hotel are limited, especially for vegetarians. Be warned late risers, the breakfast service shuts at 9.30am! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel La Selva, although both the experience and value for money would be improved if the abovementioned shortcomings were addressed.

Excellent concierge services including getting a driver who picked us up at the airport at a reasonable rate. The hotels manager was always there to answer questions and spoke English flawlessly. Rooms were good. Good choice if you are new to traveling in Vietnam.
